Questions & answers
The questions homeowners actually ask.
The questions homeowners actually ask us when they're thinking about a custom home or a major project — in the order they tend to ask them, from "is this a job for you?" through to "what will it cost?"
Stage
Before you decide
What kind of projects do you take on?
We build custom and semi-custom homes from design to completion, and we also take on major remodels and renovations, room additions and expansions, kitchen and bath remodels, and light commercial projects. Whether it's a whole new home or a major change to the one you have, it's the kind of work we do every day.
We've never built a custom home before — is that a problem?
Not at all. Building your first home can feel overwhelming, which is exactly why we walk you through it patiently. One family who built their first-and-forever home with us said we helped them "focus on what mattered most" and "collaborated on bringing our vision to life" — that guidance is a big part of what we do.
Do you build semi-custom homes, or only fully custom?
Both. Some clients come with a detailed vision — right down to intricate moldings, gothic arches and an octagonal tower — and others want a more straightforward semi-custom home. We're glad to build either, and to help you land somewhere in between.

How we work
Who will actually be on the job site — Hunter or David?
Both. Hunter and David are hands-on owners who are present on the job site every day. You're not handed off to a project manager who's never around — you deal directly with the people building your home.
Can we source our own fixtures and finishes?
Yes. We're flexible on vendors — you're welcome to pick and supply your own fixtures and finishes, or we'll guide you to trusted local suppliers. We build around the choices that matter most to you.

Pricing & cost
How does pricing work?
Every project starts with a walkthrough, after which you get a detailed written proposal so you can see what each part of the build costs. Our pricing is transparent, with no surprise fees — you know what you're signing up for before anything starts.
What happens if something changes mid-project?
If the scope changes — say a remodel uncovers something behind the walls — we show you what we found, price it transparently, and get your approval before we proceed. The budget never moves without your say-so.
Stage
Area & getting started
Which areas do you build in?
We build throughout Youngsville and the surrounding Triangle-area suburbs of Raleigh — Franklinton, Wake Forest, Rolesville, Louisburg, Bunn, Zebulon, Creedmoor and North Raleigh. If you're nearby and planning a project, just ask.
How do we get started?
The best first step is a walkthrough. Call or email us, tell us a little about the home or project you're picturing, and we'll set up a time to come take a look and talk it through — no pressure, and no charge for the conversation.
Still have a question?
Ask Hunter and David directly — there's no charge for a conversation or a proposal.
